g8 0-60 test

just testing the 0-60 on the g8 a few times, and checking the timestamp in my video editing program, pretty impressive for a heavy car with limited traction...

Pullied up my g8 today

installed the 70lb injectors the other day from Rich at PMFL, waiting on the pulley, he suggested i order a 3.1 to stay safe, totalling 9psi up top, and adding about 30rwhp, he was totally right btw. listen to the man when he speaks, haha.

injectors and pulley were easy to swap, results were amazing.

injectors, plugs, cam, and picking up a trans

this weekend me and corey installed the 80lb cobra style injectors from lethal performance, and just spaced up the stock rail with plastic spacers and bolts from sears hardware, 2 dollars in parts.

installed a set of NGK tr6's, and with those and the big injectors, its holding 12psi solid and feels like an animal

corey installed the cam in the truck and upgraded to an ls2 style tensioner because the ls3 style is known as shitty and can break, then my buddy called me and told me one of his friends has a th400 for sale, working and ready to roll. so we stopped by tonight and picked it up.

turbo silverado results today!

well i got the 75lb injectors today... but they are the wrong size, they are like 1/4 inch too short, fucking sucks. yeah well i guess i ahve a set for the g8 now...

added a boost gauge to the truck and decided to take it to the dyno and see what the stock injectors can do...

now as all projects go, specially 4 day turbo truck projects, there were some hiccups, we were only hitting 2psi on the lowest spring in the gate. turns out its just that weak, it comes with 3 springs, the weakest with the pre-load turned all teh way down was only hitting 2psi. after checking everything for boost leaks i pre-loaded it more and it hit 3psi. then with a mbc turned up it hit 6max, now we were rolling...

threw in the next step spring, hits 4-5psi

cranked up we hit 9psi for now running close to the end of the stock injectors.

we were running the truck in 2nd gear on the dyno because it does 99mph in 2nd gear, the only thing that sucks is the dyno roller weighs alot less than teh truck does, so it spools later, way later than the truck does on the street, so the whole dyno chart its basically spooling, you can see with the power lines...

other than that we will do some street driving tomorrow, it feels amazing on the street.

base stock pull vs base turbo tune for now on 9psi

fuel pumps in the turbo truck today

did the fuel pumps today, 2x 255lph in the tank, working great with the stock returnless surge tank pressure bleed thing. injectors are on their way, we are going to do some VE tuning tomorrow hopefully, cant really make any boost at all with these baby 32lb injectors.

here are some pics of the hackjob 100% working in tank 2x255s

late night busa finish

ok, couldnt sleep after working on coreys truck all night, got up, went to the garage...

used the 10 dollar harbor freight chain rivet tool, and it fucking worked great, i would recommend it to anyone, you have to have some patience to get everything in the way you want, and then get it done. so after that i adjusted the chain. going to raise the back end of the bike a tiny bit on teh links, one or two more, till i can cut up the box on the back of the swingarm and etc.

filled the bike with water, installed the shift linkage rearset and bent back all the stock parts for the shift linkage and got it all working great actually hahha. re-ran all the wiring in the front end, used teh factory zip ties and etc. mounted the front end fuse box. gutted the stock air box to the Big airbox mod. threw filter in the garbage, mounted the stock tank, connected all the fuel lines etc.

fitted the stock overflow tank, filled the front tire with air (it looses air somehow) im sure i did some other small things im forgetting...

dyno'd 2 cars today... Aarons Chevelle and Donavans TA

well most of you might not know, donavan bought a blower head unit off cragslist for, then got a bracket, belt, etc and made it all work for something of the tune of 1600 dollars

motor vs blower...

i let out early because the car is out of injector/pump and doing a nice 13.5 AFR 116% duty cycle, non intercooled p1sc 42lb injectors and stock fuel pump still

great increase for 3.5psi! hahhahaha

next up is aaron on motor, and then nitrous.

good improvement on both!
